Going green, staying green
Philips has an ambitious program to meet its environmental impact and sustainability targets. It’s called the EcoVision4 initiative. An important part of that initiative is the promotion of green products and innovations, but there’s one other aspect that Philips believes is equally important – actively engaging its employees in green initiatives, both inside and outside the company. Proof-of-concept takes the prize
The Philips Innovation Award recognizes the type of creativity and ingenuity that Philips is looking for in development engineers. The initiative, organized by the Rotterdam-based student fraternity (‘Rotterdamsch Studenten Corps’), together with the Universities of Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Tilburg and Delft, ran for the fourth consequetive year. It’s aim: to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship amongst talented students in Business and Technology.
